Creation: The Weimar Republic was established in 1918 after the end of World War 1. Its aim was to bring a new life to Germany after the War but this was arguable  Firstly, its creation possessed Advantages and Disadvantages Advantages

	All Allowed to vote, shows a democratic country
	Proportional representation, shows a way to democracy, all fairly elected
	Supported by the majority of German, should therefore work

Disadvantages

	Proportional representation, forms coalitions that fall at times of crisis
	Article 48, allows emergency powers which can be exploited, dictatorship
	Opposition from Right wing...Cause for opposition against democracy.

The WR stood a good chance of survival. It had support and was democratic, however many underlying weaknesses weakened the Weimar and allowed opportunities to arise later on such as Article 48 which could be abused.
